•  Explain what single person (a profile) or group of people you plan to study for your project. I will be studying a basketball player named John Trueblood.

•  Why did you choose them? I choose John Trueblood because knows what it is like having a social media as an athlete.

•  How will studying this person/group shed particularly interesting light on answering some aspect of your critical question? By me studying John I can she if he feels the same way I feel about my question and if he doesn’t I want to know why. 

•  What aspect of this person or group will you study specifically? The main thing I will focus on is the way John use social media in his life.

•  What is y our relationship to your person or group? (How well do you know them and in what capacity?) I been knowing John for about 2 weeks so this interview should be very interesting.

•  How will you contact or communicate with this person or group in order to set up your observation and interviews?  I know where John lives and I have his contact information so it shouldn’t be very hard to get in contact with him.

 PART 1

           Listening to summer camp, the put was just to get a better understanding  about camp life and how much fun kids have when their at camp then when they’re at home. I remember a part in the story when they said ‘’a one day camp can bring kids closer together the 2 weeks in the real world’’.  When I listen to How to Become Batman I hear a story based on  one person and how he learns how to work his way around without having eyes. At first I thought the based was going to be about a couple of rats.

       In the story with the summer camp I hear more of David and his campers telling me how much they love being at camp, and when I listen to how to become batman I hear more of the journalist speaking to the blind mans mother and how his child hood was growing up without eyes. When I listen to both story’s it was as if I was there with whom every was speaking at the time. What every they was saying I could just close my eyes and imagine what the was trying to explain .

       The podcast  for the summer camp wasn’t in any order just a lot of kids explaining there time at camp. Kids was explaining story’s about how they was trying to get their first kiss and trying to see blooded Mary. Listen to how to become batman podcast in was more in order on how he learn throughout his years growing up without being about to see.

The one thing I got from listen to the summer podcast was to be more open to people and try to build a friendship like I would with people I meet at camp.

PART 2

     If I was to go out and interview people that have a big impacted on my critical question it would be athletes that let social media take over their life in a negative and also in a positive way. I would do like a ‘’ day in the life’’ with the person I’am studying to get a better understanding on why and how did they let it get so for in their life so that it made them become the person they are today. I would study their back ground what type of neighborhood they came from just to see if that made an impact on how they did what they did.

             How do you think our society would be if we didn’t have anymore Technology? This question is very meaningful to me and you, because we are society. We leave in a generation where in some ones life needed saving, you would record the moment just for a couple of retweets. The affect this question have on people is very powerful do to the fact that no one under the age of 30 could live without  their phone. This questions has a lot of answers that can solve my problem.

          Society would be a hard place to live without technology because of the fact that, phones really became a big thing in generation. Is that our fault, not at all. That’s why I can not blame our society for being crazy over the newest technology that hits the markets. But I can blame society for letting technology take over our life. By taking over our life I don’t mean that it turns us in to robots. Here is a example of what I mean.

             ‘’I have a great day plan so that I can go out and have some fun with my friends, but I forget my phone at home. Now my whole day feels like a waste of  time because I don’t have a technology device to capture the moment’’. I feel like by me asking this question over and over I could get a million different answers and always have something to write about, other then making a critical question that’s to broad. For example that would be asking a question like ‘’ Do you like sending text messages or writing a letter’’? That’s not a good critical question it would only get one answer. That’s a being broad and specific in one example.

                      As I look around I see many different things. I see people studying talk about school. That’s students that are trying to get better in class in stay on top of their classes. I see pretty girls walking to class, that’s something new for me because I went to an all boy school before I got to University Nebraska Lincoln, so that’s pretty good. I see teachers in class working hard to give students the best education possible.

             While I was in the shower last night I was thinking to myself could I really sing or is it just this shower making me sound so good. In the shower I come up with all type of ides that go away as soon as I dry myself of. I think about my career as an football player, like will I ever get to show the world my talent as an NFL player. But the one thing I hate thinking about in the shower is my best-friend that is in prison over something he did that made his life harder then it should be, that’s when I start to turn the water off and step out the shower.

        As a freshmen in high school I always had a love for science class. That was my favorite subject of them all, for all four years in high-school. Maybe it was because I had the best science teachers a guy could ask for or maybe it was the cool projects we did in class, like cutting open frogs or looking at human brains. I had the greatest science teacher his name was Mr.Vigee, he always had something great set up for class almost everyday. That was my 9^th grade science teacher so I guess that’s what made me fall in love with science.

        I cant remember a moment me and my mother didn’t have argument about something. My mother and I argue about the simplest things. Like why didn’t I make my bed before I go to school in the morning. This might sound crazy but my mother will argue with me about football like she’s a coach. If my mother is right about something then she’s right, but if my mother is wrong about something then she’s still right.

          On a daily base I tend to think about my father and how his doing. My father went to jail when I was in the 4^th grade. I know his always thinking about me and my two sisters. We don’t talk as much as we should and I know that makes him feel like his not wanted in my life. But sometimes I would call him on any giving day and time just to tell him I love him and that I miss him, sometimes that’s just a little bit of motivation so he could stay strong .

          Looking back on my community, and where I come from is like a bucket that a lot of people are stepping on one another trying to get out of. Most people don’t make it to the age of 18, but don’t get me wrong I love my city of  New Orleans Is a beautiful place to visit. The greatest building in New Orleans is the Super Dome, where the saints play. The big question that every person from New Orleans would like to know is when will all the killing stop. In this week alone their was at least 4 people I knew from growing up that was murder by gun violence in they all was in the age range of 16-25. The answer to that question is NEVER!

                In class today we had to come up with some critical questions related to the readings the night before, so some one came up with a great question that I liked and it was ‘’Would the world be different if we didn’t have Social Media?’’. The reason I choose that question is because I always wonder how people would think of the world with out a phone in your hand. I would always hear story’s that older people would tell me about how researching information was the hardest part about doing work, now the days we live in what every we need is in a touch of a button.

        I picked this question because it is a big reminder of how I’am with my phone, I could be on my phone at night searching the web and the next thing I know it’s almost time to go to class or practice and I haven’t gotten any sleep because im a prisoner of my phone. I do everything with my phone, it makes life feel easy sometimes. But cell phones are not all bad, I remember when I was younger my mom got me a cell phone just so I can keep in touch and let her know where I’am so that she wouldn’t be worried about me through out the day.

      When you have a social media its easier for you to get in all kinds of trouble you wouldn’t think that you would get in trouble for. For a athlete like me social media is trouble waiting to happen if your not careful with the things you post. You could post something that can get you kicked out of college, when you think the posted is not that serious. That’s why its best to just stay off of twitter, instagram and facebook.

        My question fit with all three of the projects because if all has to deal with critical question which Im doing right now.  Critical questions could be any thing, and that’s what we be dealing with the rest of the five weeks in class. I have a couple of question about the my question, like do I have to keep the same question for the five weeks? How can I continue to write about the same thing over and over with out going over the same stuff? Will you start changing the way you want us to answer the question so that my question wouldn’t get boring because I like my question and think it could last me until the end of the 5 weeks if Ms.Green change the concepts. Only concern I have is should we spend more time on my memo?  

        Hey I'm Stanley Morgan Jr, I’m from New Orleans Louisiana. I would like to tell you about my life and where I come from. I was born in the Gentilly area of New Orleans, not the best place to grow up. But I was greatful to have my mother Monique Jason and also my Grandparents in my like to show me the righter way of life. Around the age of 11 my mother and father and to do some time in jail that’s when I was sent to leave with my Grandparents in New Orleans. I was a good child growing up but as you know New Orleans is a place where trouble would find you.

      That’s why where im from most kids turn to sports to get out the neighborhood we grow up in. I fell in love with football at a young age when I use to play street ball with the older kids. So that’s when my mom let me play for a local park called Milne Raders. I played Quarter back all the way up to 9^th grade for my freshman team at St.Augustine High School. That’s when I started not to like Quarter back then I changed to Wide Receiver. Then after that I started my 10^th,11^th,and 12^th grade years on the varsity team. I hold a couple of records at my high school for Wide Receiver and could go down as a legend at my school or one of the greats, such as Leonard Fournette , Tyrann Mathieu, Lorenzo Doss and many more legends from St.Augustine High School.

       I was a good student in school, made good grades and a good sense of humor always like to make people laugh even though im not that funny. I had offers from many of schools around the world but I choose the one college that I fell in love with and as you can see that college was UNL. I plan on starting a fashion design once I leave UNL. I plan to have a design that can compete with Ralph Lauren, Christian Louboutin ,and Louis Vuitton. As a young boy I had a eye for fashion. But some people might think im soft for being in to fashion so I never really told any one because of my football image. But now that I know I could go to school for it and make a career I would like to get more involved in Fashion Design. Now im in the summer of 2015 where I take a writing class for  Ms.Green and pumpkin. So I write because I have to. I write I want to pass. I write because I hate to read out loud. I write because im in a writing class. I  write because it will help me in the future. I write to my family back home in New Orleans. I write to my father in jail. I write checks for those kids that doesn’t have what I have in life.

          I’am a writer who can do anything he set his mind to. I’am a writer who play’s for the Huskers. I’am a writer who lost a couple friends growing up, due to guns and jail. I’am writer that loves his family very much. I’am a writer who loves bulldogs. I’am a writer who plans on getting some playing time this year on the football team. I’am a writer who can give back to the community at any given time and feel good about what I gave back, would help the world in a powerful way. I’am a writer who is done with my first BLOG!
